Stephen Wyse has:
“My first profession was a soldier. I enlisted as an U.S. Army Military Police (M.P.) to protect our country and military community. Part of my nature is to oppose bullies and protect the oppressed. In the simplest terms I am a “Defender” and believe in the rule of law as the surest safeguard to ordered liberty. As a young M.P., I was tasked to the Army C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Division – Army’s version of Naval NCIS) on a Drug Suppression Team. At the time I believed in the “War on Drugs”, but I have since came to recognize that this “War” is far more harmful to liberty and our safety than the illegal drugs in question. Our justice system is intended to be reliant upon truth, but bureaucratic arrogance has left truth a minor consideration as we wrongly convict far too many innocent citizens of crimes they did not commit. A commitment to zealous advocacy for my clients and thorough knowledge of the justice system allows for me fight for fairness and substantial justice for my clients.”
